Badminton connects! ??‍??? Recently we had the honor of hosting 20 players from the Adjutant General Corps Badminton Team from the UK for two weeks at Bali Badminton Camp. Together we trained and played friendly matches against teams from the Bali Provincial Government, PBSI, and Bali Badminton Academy, strengthening connections between the UK and Indonesia through badminton. Off the court we also had time to explore the island, visiting Uluwatu Temple, watching the Kecak Dance, tasting Luwak coffee and trying local food during Ramadan. Thank you to everyone involved who made this possible. A great learning experience for us, and we look forward to creating more exchanges like this in the future. Hendry, also a former national-level player, has been ranked among the top players in Bali. With coaching experience at a satellite club of Indonesia’s biggest club, PB Djarum, he has played an important role in developing and scouting young talents. His understanding of high-performance badminton are invaluable to our camp. Today we would like to invite you all to Japan Badminton Camp 2026 that will take place in April 2026, offering a truly unique training and competition experience in Japan. The camp runs from April 1–10 in the countryside of Tochigi, with an optional extension until April 14 for players who wish to combine elite training with international competition at the Omotenashi Cup in the iconic city of Kyoto. This is an elite badminton camp open to all ages and levels, with players grouped by age and playing level to ensure a high-quality, developmental training environment and strong sparring opportunities. ?️ Duration: 10–14 days (April 1–14, 2026) ❕ Limited capacity: Only 10 juniors + 10 adults This camp is about more than just badminton. What a fantastic 2024, full of ups and downs, roller coaster style! ? As we wrap up 2024, we want to thank everyone who has been part of this incredible journey. From multiple projects of badminton almost every day, it’s been a year full of heart, soul, and passion for the sport. We’ve hosted camps of all sizes, from smaller, intimate settings to groups of up to 60 players. This year marked our fifth year anniversary of Smashtravel Camp in Sweden, and we’re already looking forward to the sixth edition in June 2025. July brought us our second Bali Badminton Camp, welcoming nearly 20 participants from across the globe, all united by their love for badminton. December saw our first-ever camp in Japan with 7 dedicated participants. And now, we’re ending the year on a high note, hosting the Qatar Junior National Team here in Bali. We’ve lost count of how many nations joined us this year, but one thing’s for sure, it’s a lot, and we’re incredibly grateful! Each and everyone of you has brought something special to the court. 2025 is shaping up to be just as exciting. Another fantastic summer camp in Indonesia goes into the books! 🌴🏸🇮🇩 A record number of participants joined us this July, with 45 players from 15 different countries. Many new faces, together with familiar Smashtravelers returning for the 3-week summer highlight we host every year. A high-performance training camp with days filled with badminton from early morning until late evening, combined with unforgettable experiences off court. Different goals and ambitions, but one common theme: to improve, challenge ourselves, build friendships, and experience the warmth of Indonesian culture. That's what makes our camp in Bali so special, and something we truly believe every badminton player should experience at least once. A heartfelt thank you to every player who joined us this year.
